Charles Gus Fitch
Charles H. Gus Fitch, 78, of Portland, OH passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.
He was born Oct. 13, 1930 in Long Bottom, OH son of the late Carl H. and Myrtle L. Spaun Fitch. He was a retired core maker for Pioneer City Casting in Belpre, OH and a union member of G.M.P. for 37 years.
He is survived by a daughter Mary Lynn Fitch Dailey; a son, Keith Eugene and Cindy Fitch; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 special great-grandchildren, Kiersten Noelle Fitch, Bryannah Dailey and Maelynnah Dailey; 3 brothers, Robert, Larry and Don; and a sister, Mildred Krider.
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean M. Fitch whom he married Dec. 22, 1948 in Long Bottom, OH; a son, Michael Fitch; a brother, Roy; and a son-in-law, Blaine Dailey.
At Charles request he will be cremated, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
Arrangements are by White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH.
