Dale Barr
Dale Allan Barr, 79, of Reedsville, OH passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at Arcadia Rehab Center, Coolville, OH.
He was born Nov. 6, 1928 in Meigs County to the late L. R. and Alice Barr. He married F. Pauline White on Jan. 15, 1949 and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda Ron Taylor; and a son, Gary Barr. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Lori Taylor and Sarah Zoath Monroe; three great-grandchildren, one brother, Russell Elizabeth Barr, sisters-inlaw, Evelyn Barr, Norma Carl Blake and Linda Jim Cunningham; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Robert Sanders, Frances Benedum, Bernard Brannon, Dohrman Reed and Lowell Chevalier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Arthur, Horace, Charles and Wayne Barr; a sister, Opal Harris; and a granddaughter, Lisa Taylor.
He was mostly self-employed and the last 38 years he operated Barr's Service Station until he retired in 2003. He attended the Eden United Brethren In Christ Church.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, June 12, 2008 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Robert Sanders and Adam Will officiating. Burial will be in the Heiney Cemetery, Reedsville, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home, Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diabetes Assoc., Alzheimers Assoc. or to Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, OH.
