Donald R. Russell, 79, of Coolville, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Kimes Nursing Center in Athens.
He was born June 13, 1933 in Coolville, Ohio, son of the late Alfred and Gladys Kincade Russell. He retired from Dupont in 1985 as a chemical operator, and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carole Mercer Russell; two sons, Bryan Russell and Jeff Penny Russell; three daughters, Katherine Taitt Rose; Bob Barker Sherra John Thompson; eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchilren.
Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by three brothers, Howard, Dean, And Ed.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held from 4pm-8pm Monday at the Coolville United Methodist Church in Coolville.
