Foster J. Rood, 72, of Reedsville, OH died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, OH.
Born March 21, 1937, in Reedsville, OH, he was the son of the late Harrison and Elva Randolph Rood.
He is survived by four children, Timmy Jones Rood, Gary Fitzgerald Rood, Robin Jo Rood and Hank Clayton Rood, all of Reedsville; four grandchildren, Matthews, Clifford, Domino and Tracy Boswell, all of Reedsville; and a sister Marjorie Rood of Reedsville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tracy Irene Mays Rood; a daughter, Norma Jean Rood; a son Tony Jones Rood; two step-brothers, Maurice Rood and Harrison Rood Jr.; and three step-sisters, Easter Brown, Susie Cope Rood and Nettie Turick.
Services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Russell Carson officiating. Burial will be in the Rood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday two hours prior to the service.
