Harold Lee Nutter of State Route 124, Reedsville, Ohio, passed away March 26, 2009 at Arcadia Nursing Home in Coolville, Ohio.
He was born on May 3, 1928 at Oxford, WVa, the son of the late John Willis and Sylvia Marie Wade Nutter.
Harold graduated from Morgantown High School class of 1947 and was recognized as a 60-year member of the IBEW Local Union. Harold was a professional electrician and worked over the years on many construction projects in the West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania region. He was employed at GE Plastics in Washington, WVa in the maintenance department as an electrician and retired there in 1992 after 30 years of service. Harold was an avid sportsman and loved to spend his time hunting and fishing whenever possible and loved his farm along the Ohio River.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald Eugene and Bettie Alice Nutter of McMurray, PA.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 58 years, Betty Ann Nutter of Reedsville; a daughter, Karen Lee Nutter James F. Ali of Moundsville, WVa.; two sons, Stephen Harold Nutter of Seagoville, Texas and Russell Wade Patricia Nutter of Tuppers Plains, OH. Harold is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Warren Glenna Nutter of Flippen, Ark. and Frederick Wade Darlene Nutter of Sparks, Nev.; and a special cousin, Helen Lee Ryan Rocky of Vienna.
Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. Friday, March 27, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH. Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, at IOOF Friendship Cemetery in Jane Lew, WVa.
The family has request that memorial contributions be made to the Arcadia Nursing Home Activities Fund, 25675 East Main Street, Coolville, OH 45723
