Henry Richard Milam

Henry Richard Milam, Senior, USMC, Retired, 80, of Coolville, OH, passed away November 15, 2014. He was born in Sabine, WVa., on December 14, 1933, a son of the late James A. Milam and Zettia Laferty. Henry was married to Mary Graves Milam, deceased, on December 30, 1957.

Henry enlisted in the Marines in May, 1952. He served in Korea (1953) and Vietnam (1967). He retired as a staff sergeantin October, 1972, after 20 years of service. He was a long distance truck driver and later drove truck for a local Belpre company until 2013. Henry enjoyed playing Blue Grass music for local nursing homes, playing for his church, and helping others.

Henry is survived by his six children; Rachel Connelly of Parkersburg, WV; Henry Milam Jr. of Williamstown, WV; Mark Milam of Gainsville, FL; Cathy Wooten of Lithia, FL; Stanly Milam of Archer, FL; and Faith Amick of Columbia, SC. He isalso survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13; at Whites Chapel Wesleyan Church, 52270 Rice Run Rd, Coolville, OH.
