James A. "Jim" Cremeans

James A. Cremeans 78, of Little Hocking, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born November 28, 1931 in Coolville, Ohio, son of the late Alfred and Mertie Childers Cremeans.
He retired from Elkem Metals in 1986 after 33 years, a member of the Gospel Baptist Church, Coolville Lions Club, Belpre Masonic Lodge # 609 where he recently celebrated 50 years in the Masons and received his pin, a member of the Scottish Rite and a past member of the Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie Stone Cremeans, one son and daughter-in-law David and Kelley Cremeans of Belpre, five grandchildren; Michael, Richard, Traci, Matthew and Lexie Cremeans; one brother Cecil and one sister Annie Calaway and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing. He was a avid reader, loved his garden and passing the days with his friends on his farm. His charisma and positive attitude gained him the respect of his fellows. He was generous in helping others at times of need. He was affectionately known as Uncle Jim. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers; George, Sam, Leonard, Roy and Ben Cremeans, three sisters Hazel Shutts, Elsie Marshall, and Edith Ward.
Services will be Sunday at 2:00pm at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home Coolville OH with the Rev. Jay Hubbard Officiating. Burial will follow at the Torch Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday 6:00 - 8:00pm. Where a Masonic Service will be held 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
