Jerry Lee Barber, 48, of Bidwell, OH passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, OH. He was born Aug. 15, 1959 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Ray and Bernice Reed Barber. He was a deckhand for AEP Riverboat.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Barber; 4 daughters, Jessica O'Brien, Mandy Buchanan, Carri Simpkins and Kayla Simpkins; a son, Benjamin Barber; 7 grandchildren and one on the way; 3 brothers, Ray Jr., Ben and Mitchell Barber; 4 sisters, Doretta Brown, Carolyn Morris, Shirley Wells and Debora Channels; and 2 sisters-in-law, Karen Johnson and Debbie Moodispaugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James; a sister, Judith; and his mother-in-law, Nancy Johnson.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, Jan 17, 2008 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Gary Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery, Reedsville, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of service.
