Joann Lowe

Joann Lowe (75) of Little Hocking, OH passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. She was born October 28, 1938 in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of the late Nay and Mildred (Fredrick) Collins.
Joann was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ and a member of the Little Hocking Church of Christ. Her faith in Christ lives on in her children and grandchildren. She was a cook for Arcadia Nursing Home, Little Hocking Elementary School, Warren High School, St. Joseph Hospital and hundreds of friends and family. She also worked for Nashua Photo.
Joann spent her life serving others. She gave far more to this world than she ever took from it. She loved her family and her Bible. Her memory will be cherished and honored by her family.
She is survived by Shirley Lowe, her loving husband of 55 years. Three sons, Steven Lowe of Belpre, OH, Michael Lowe of Belpre, OH and Matthew Lowe of Morgantown, WV. Two daughters, Vickie Lowe of Belpre, OH and Kim Hambrick of Fleming, OH. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Denver, Jimmy and Kenny Collins. Two sisters, Sharon Brookover and Ruth Kerrigan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Teady Maze and Sue Calaway, and four brothers, Tom, Harold, Charles and Dorsey Collins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, Ohio. Burial will be at Newbury Cemetery, Little Hocking, Ohio. Friends may call the funeral home Friday, 6-8 PM.
