Myrtle L. Pierce, 75, of Hockingport, OH passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, WV.
She was born Dec. 28, 1932 in Coolville, OH daughter of the late Lee Homer and Dorothy N. Gilbert McGlone. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Ross Co. Board of M.R.D.D., a member of the Eastern Star in New Marshfield, the Athens Boat & Ski Club, Troy Township Senior Citizens, Hockingport Christian Center and President of the Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Pierce of Hockingport; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall Eugene and Rebecca Pierce of Albany; a daughter and son-in-law, Shauna Lee and Charles Horvath of Albany; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward Oliver McGlone, Richard Earl McGlone and Bradley Lance McGlone; and a sister, Edna Mae Benson.
Services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, March 9, 2008 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor Bill Duty officiating. Burial will be in the Coolville, Cemetery.
