Ruth Browning Collett, 75, of Coolville, OH passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, OH.
She was born Sept. 28, 1934 in Parkersburg, WV daughter of the late Clarence R. and Mary Elizabeth Ingold Southern. She was a 1952 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a member of Little Hocking Church of Christ and an inspector for Nashua Photo.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roy W. Collett; 2 sons, William R. Collett of Stewart and Charles R. Collett of Glouster; a daughter, Julia E. Dave Welch of Coolville; a brother, Russell Southern; 4 sisters, Mary Jo McCroskey, June Stone, Mabel Ritchie and Donna Galloway; 6 grandchildren, Brandie Pierce, Brooke Collett, Christopher Collett, Dustin Collett, Matthew Root and Brett Root; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH. Burial will be in the Coolville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
