Wilma Frances Young, 80, of Lancaster, OH passed from this life at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center on Monday, May 11, 2009 surrounded by her family. She was born October 23, 1928 in Hockingport, OH to the late Lon and Rosie "Blake" Snider of Hockingport, OH.
Over the years, she was a very hard and devoted worker. She spent many years working at a glass factory known as Lancaster Glass. She also loved to crochet, quilt and read, along with being a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family very much.
She is survived by 2 sons, Lawrence H. Rood of Lancaster, OH and Donald W. Cindy Rood of Belpre, OH; 1 daughter, Julie M. Gary Peters of Lancaster, OH; 3 grandchildren, Andrea N. Brian Kimes of Middleport, OH, Eric M. Runyon and J. Daniel Runyon both of Pomeroy, OH; 2 great-grandchildren, Makayla Danielle and Noah Bradley Kimes both of Middleport, OH; and 1 sister, Mary Alice Butch Samblanet of Navarre, OH; along with many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Harding A. Rood; her 2nd husband, Warren E. Baker; a grandson, Brad Steven Runyon; 2 brothers, Lawrence Snider and Clifford Snider; 4 sisters, Freda Yeater, Bertha Gregory, Edna Snider and Thelma Swiers.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2009 a White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor Jerry Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery, Reedsville, OH.
