On Thursday, May 30, 2019, Bernice M. Hart, loving wife and mother of seven children passed away at the age of 85.
Bernice was born December 14, 1933 in Sandyville, WV to the late Arlis and Elsie (Heinzman) Riggs.
Bernice was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Bernice treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She loved gardening and she took great pride in her flowers. She owned and operated Hart’s Greenhouse for 25 years. She also loved to farm, cook and make crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edsel Hart; four children, Gary (Penny) of Coolville, Roger (Julie) of Waverly, WV, Martha (Kevin) of Pataskala and Eddie (Trina) of Coolville; grandchildren, Linda (Kevin) Schall, Rick (Janette) Hart, Jennifer Biedenbach, Dan (Sarah) Hart, Melissa and Kristen Spurbek, Terry (Chloe) Hart and Wyatt Hart; great-grandchildren, Kelly (Travis) Graham, Laekyn and Payson Hart, Logan Biedenbach, Skylar and Ty Hart; great-great-grandchild, Willow Graham; sister, Sharon (Dave) Chambers of Mineral Wells, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Arlis and Elsie, she was preceded in death by three children, Terry, Ricky and Darlene; daughter-in-law, Sharon; sister, Betty Cline and brother, Denzil Riggs.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Vanderhoof Baptist Church with Pastor Lloyd Winans officiating. Burial will follow in the Meigs County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the church Monday, from 11 A.M. until time of service.
