Charles Long
Charles O. Long, 78, of Coolville, OH passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, WV.
He was born March 4, 1931 in Uneeda, WV son of the late Halley and Lennie Mason Long. He was a truck driver, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret A. Long; a son, Jim Long; a daughter, Belinda Marlowe; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lilly Barker and Ermma Ballard; and a daughter-in-law, Dianne Long.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William John Long; and a brother, Elmo Long.
Services will be held 1 P.M, Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Hockingport, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Association.
