COOLVILLE—Gene M. Clegg, 78, of Coolville, OH, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 11, 1940 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Glenn and Ada Daugherty Clegg. Gene loved his grandchildren, lawn work and playing the piano. He was employed at the Parkersburg News and Sentinel for 15 years.
Gene is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kay Clegg; 2 sons, Gene (Brenda) Clegg and Jaramie (Amanda) Clegg; 4 daughters, Rhonda Taylor, Roberta (Curt) Hall, Angela (Rick Bennett) Miller and Judy (Mark) Lynch; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 3 brothers, Toby, Bub and Jeff Clegg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Tim and Howard Clegg and a brother, Tom Clegg.
Funeral services will held at 11 A.M., Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
