BELPRE-- Harry James "Jim" Tippie, Jr., 81,of Belpre, OH, passed away June 3, 2018 at the Parkersburg Care Center.

He was born May 24, 1937 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Helen (Bowman) and Harry Tippie, Sr. Jim was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of Tuppers Plains VFW Post #9053 and attended Belpre High School. He was also an avid musician and attended the Grace Brethren Church in Coolville.

Jim is survived by his wife, Ethel Shutts Frost Tippie; a son, Kevin Tippie; a daughter, Tina Vaughn; 2 grandsons; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lew Tippie and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Geronima and the mother of his children, Pearl Sams.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor George Horner officiating. Burial will follow in the Torch Cemetery, where military services will be conducted.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, from 10 A.M. until time of service.
