COOLVILLE-- Joseph R. Bailey, 88, of Coolville, OH, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at Belpre Landing.
He was born Jan. 11, 1930 in Coolville, OH, son of the late Lawrence and Florence Bailey. Joseph was a member of the Vanderhoof Baptist Church and the Operating Engineers Union Local 18 in Columbus for 60 years.
He is survived by a son, Joe Eddie (Lori) Bailey; a daughter, Carolyn (Bill) Harris; 4 grandchildren, Scottie Ashcraft, Jamie (Sam) Douglas, Caleb Bailey and Olivia Bailey; 4 great-grandchildren, Isaac, Hayden, Alex and Adam; a sister, Dorothy (Bob) Anderson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Jean and a daughter Kathy.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Nov.6, 2018 at the Vanderhoof Cemetery in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Craig Holler officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
