Virginia Mae Wheaton Guess
COOLVILLE--Virginia Mae Wheaton Guess, 79, of Coolville, OH passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville.
She was born June 25, 1937 in Parkersburg, WV daughter of the late Dorse and Nellie Bates Wheaton.
Virginia was a loving mother and long time, hard working housewife. She was a great cook and served many meals at the Guess homestead. She was a member of the Lottridge Community Center as well as the Senior Citizens programs. She attended both regularly and enjoyed the country music on Fridays at Lottridge and also travelled to Vinton regularly to listen to music. She loved bluegrass, old country music and playing Bingo. She is truly going to be missed by many.
She is survived by four children, Leroy (Hazel) Guess of Coolville, Johnny Guess of Coolville, Mary Ann (Larry) Church of Coolville and Harold (Tina) Guess of Belpre; a brother, Dennis (Barb) Wheaton of Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Guess; and her siblings, Raymond, Arthor, Chester, Lee, Silvia and Julia.
There will be a memorial services planned in her honor, in the summer of 2017.
Arrangements are by White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville.
